Dear Dearest Friend,
Pascalle began with the meeting of two mammalian biped sapiens in the
Western part of the continent currently known as North America, on the
Planet Earth, of the Barred Spiral Milky Way Galaxy, Within the Datha Sector
of the third known universe. Six billion years after the Earth began
functioning as an organism; more precisely, two thousand and six years after
the death of a man the modern west gladly accepts as the Son of God.
Summer, a time to plunder the Sun's warmth with bare feet and dine
graciously on the ripened ovaries of blushing fruit trees. Embracing the
opportunity of friendship, we (William Robert Mathew Lewis-McLaren, and
Gabriel Seth Rodriguez) formed a collaborative consciousness from which to
create music. Soon the proverbial "finding of our niche" was agreeably
progressing, song after song, night after night. And as the seasons shook
hands we began to record.
An abandoned house filled with borrowed equipment served as our sanctuary.
It was in this rat ridden and allergy inducing den that we first set about
capturing our collective identity through vibrations. Three months were
spent recording, all the while preparing for our next transition, which was
to be that of relocation.
While capturing, Ryan Michael Mattos (also a bipedal sapien) joined in the
creation and relocation of our newly blooming entity. Having now transformed
from a couple to a crowd we set upon a journey of both inner and outer
geography towards the nearest and most concentrated mass of humans our
particular tribe has to offer.
We arrived in New York City at the peak of winter when life retreats into
the earth, and as such took kindly to burying ourselves in the somewhat
elephantine task of translating our vibrations into a public display. And
now (as these symbols are interpreted in the one true moment) we write to
you as a band; from the Eastern most part of continent currently known as
North America, on the planet earth, of the barred spiral Milky Way galaxy,
within the Datha sector of the third known Universe.
Love,
Pascalle
